Alena Halmes, based in Basel, is a trained product designer and photographer interested in making inabilities more tangible. In her practice she creates experiences consisting out of designed objects which open up a new perspective on challenges like blindness. Next to her own practice she is working as a freelance designer and photographer at halmeskobel – das mobile fotostudio for several clients.
